participate:

Pastoral Care
One of the primary ways that we do pastoral care in our church
is through our Visitation Ministry. We have a team of people from
our congregation who are called and trained to be with people
in grief situations, times of illness or difficulty, or when they
can't get out of their homes. Our ministers who do this must be
able to listen well, show compassion, and be able to set aside
a couple of hours each month to visit with other members of our
congregation. The training for this ministry takes four weeks,
and then that ministry team continues to meet on the second Tuesday
of the month for additional training and support.
Do you have the gifts and the time for this sort of ministry?
If you think so, e-mail the Pastor for future training dates.
Liturgist Ministry
One of the many ministries that happen here is our liturgist
ministry. Our liturgists help us all to come into the presence
of God by leading in prayer, reminding us of God’s work
in our lives, and talking with the children. Each of our liturgists
is trained in the art of worship. We’ll be doing training
for new liturgists on Sunday, February 24, at 12:40. Some folks
from our congregation have discerned a call to this ministry.
If you are feeling such a call, talk to Pastor Sayer so that he
can better acquaint you with the liturgist ministry
